Parish Prayer for Louisiana

A Well-Built House — A Prayer Guide for Louisiana and Its 64 Parishes

Let It Be on Earth as It Is in Heaven

“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.” — Psalm 127:1 KJV

Pray with purpose. Stand in faith. Lift every parish of Louisiana before the Lord.

What would happen if Christians throughout Louisiana joined together to pray intentionally for their state, their communities, their leaders, and their families?

Parish Prayer for Louisiana is a comprehensive, Scripture-centered prayer guide designed to equip individuals, churches, families, and prayer groups to intercede for Louisiana's 64 parishes and every sphere of community life.

Based on the biblical vision of A Well-Built House, this guide encourages believers to pray constructively for righteousness, wisdom, responsible leadership, protection, peace, and godly stewardship.

Rather than responding only to problems and headlines, participants learn to pray for what God desires to establish.

What's Inside Your Prayer Guide?

1. The Biblical Foundation of a Well-Built House

Discover how Scripture describes a house built upon Jesus Christ, with truth as its plumb line, righteousness as its standard, and wisdom guiding its construction.

2. The Tabernacle Framework of Intercession

Explore a Christ-centered approach to prayer, moving through worship, cleansing, fellowship, and intercession before the Mercy Seat.

3. The Prayer Jesus Taught

Learn to apply the principles of the Lord's Prayer to our nation, government, communities, families, and individual lives.

4. Nine Spheres of Prayer

Follow a structured approach to intercession covering:

• The Nation

• The State of Louisiana

• Parish and Local Government

• Township and Local Responsibilities

• Cities and Villages

• Neighborhoods

• Homes

• Families

• Individuals

Each sphere includes biblical references, opening prayers, practical prayer priorities, and declarations of alignment with God's righteous purposes.

5. Pray for All 64 Louisiana Parishes

A dedicated parish prayer directory includes all 64 Louisiana parishes, listed alphabetically, with spaces to:

• Mark each parish as prayed for.

• Identify the parish where you live and stand in prayer.

• Record the names of participating intercessors.

Churches and prayer groups can use this directory to coordinate prayer assignments and encourage continuing intercession throughout Louisiana.

Who Is This Guide For?

More Than a Prayer List

This guide is an invitation to become an informed, faithful intercessor.

It encourages Christians to understand the distinct responsibilities of government, communities, households, and individuals while bringing each before God in prayer.

Our desire is to see Louisiana's people, institutions, communities, and families strengthened through prayer grounded in Scripture and centered upon Jesus Christ.
